UNKNOWN HUMOR ABOUT ONESELF
You may know yourself too well and even know what you can do and what you will never do, but human's perception about you can never be controlled by you.
What people believe about you, how they see you, who they think you are can never be controlled by your own power.
Your calmness and introvert life maybe termed as pride, but you never believed you have pride. It is possible that you don't see anything special in your looking, but you may have a crush that says in his or her mind how good looking you are, it is possible you don't know people say you are handsome or beautiful behind your back.
Our outward appearances tell people a lot about us. For example, people who are naturally sociable typically like to talk and seek out company; insecurity often manifests in behaviors such as hand-wringing or averting one's gaze.
We are frequently blind to the effects we have on others because we simply do not see our own facial expression. How we react to people at a particular time may give them a particular impression about us for a lifetime, it might be registered in their memory for a very long time.
You may not know how you reacted or what it(reaction) means, the best people to interpret your actions are the people seeing and observing you. For example, a fellow who had cried for days over the death of a loved one may not know how swollen his face looked because you could not see his own face, people around tend to know he had cried for so long.
In this part of the world, if a man should wear a suit and tie, there is higher probability that he is assumed to be a pastor or a worker in a bank. The perception of human is logical.
It is hard to know who we are unless others let us know how we affect them. Many people say "I don't care what people think about me." Well, I believe it is for the sanity of oneself, you don't want to disturb your sanity I guess and you want to live your life the way you want.
Though, it is fine, but one thing I believe is that one can live his life the way he wants provided that he lives based on his good virtues and values.
What others think about us matters, but we've constructed a harden mindset of "I will do it the way I want." What I am saying in essence is not that we should live our lives based on the dictation of men, but ruminating on what people say may help us do better. As far as you cannot control what people think about you, you also need a role to play, not for them, but for yourself.
Our tendency for self-deception stems from our desire to impress others. To appear convincing, we ourselves must be convinced of our capabilities and truthfulness.
It is possible that you are not getting some things right, but by an advice of another fellow, you may be set on the right track. It is possible you don't know of a bad character about yourself, but by the help of your observers, you will know so as to make amendments.
If I say it is impossible to control what other people perceive about us, I am also saying live a good life and check yourself at all times. What others think matters too and don't be too adamant to take corrections.
